My project for internship is going good and I’m pretty much ⅔ done with it already. I hope to finish it by the end of this week so I can focus on a personal project next week. At the beginning of starting my project we didn’t really know exactly what the project would look like. We knew we wanted to make educational videos for instagram but how we did it was completely up to me. So I decided to just try writing the scripting and trying to make a format I can follow for the other two I needed to make. The three topics I’m covering are The Rule of Thirds, Shutter Priority Mode, and Color Theory. In each minute long video I introduce the topic and give a brief description of what it is. Then I show examples of how to use it in photography.
This internship project has really shown me that I don’t really know anything about film and photography. For each topic I’m teaching I’m also learning about. I had a brief idea of what these topics were but didn’t really know anything about it. I’ve also learned that doing things in film and photography (though I do love it) is really hard for me and I struggle to motivate myself to actually do it. This has probably been the biggest challenge for me during internship and beyond. I’m working really hard to try to become a more organized person and manage time better but it's really hard to say the least. This had affected my project as well because my mentor thinks I should have already been done and honestly if I had put 100% in I probably would be.
