Elements of Art Cube
In this project we learned about all the elements of art. After that we were shown and looked up famous artists who strongly display that element of art. Then we sketched three different drawings that showed that element
Reflection
The first thing we did in this project was an introduction to what the Elements of art are. We were given a packet and on each page was a different explanation and place for us to fill in our drawing of the elements of art. Chris would give a short description of what the element was and then we would sketch something we thought resembled that. Then we got feed back. The feed back was interesting because you needed to make suggestions to help the other person improve theres and make it more like that element of art.
After that we would make another draft and get more fead back. Before our third drawing chris would show us an example of a professional artist who has a lot of that element in their art work. Our third draft was supposed to be the one we put on our cubes but people still made slight changes after that. I moved around my drawings a lot. I decided some fit other elements better and switched them. After my drawings were on the cube I had to fold it into a cube. This was hard and i am still struggling to make the last flap on the box stick together.

I learned a lot during this project. It was cool to learn that all art will have at least one of these in it. You can't make art that doesn't. I also thought it was interesting that people don't agree on what the sixth element of art is. some people think it's value and others think it's form. I chose to put form on my cube just because I like the drawing I did for form better. I don't really have an opinion on which one is better and I can see why both could be the sixth.
I think this project went really well. It was nice to be able to get and give feedback so we could make our drawings better. I tried to not repeated myself when I was giving feedback. I really wanted to try to help them the most I could. If I thought their drawing was perfect as is I would make sure to state and then give suggestions just incase they weren't satisfied with their drawing yet. The feedback I got was really useful and helped me see my drawings from a different point of view.
I really liked that we were able to do more then one draft of your drawings. I don't think of myself as an artist so being able to go over my drawings multiple times helped be to feel more confident in what I had done. Having other people look at my art was really good for me and it helped me a lot. Even though I didn't listen to everything they said it still helped spark knew ideas for me. The hardest part was putting it on the cube. I knew if I messed that up I would have to redo the whole thing. To ovoid that I did mine all in pencil and colored pencil.
